WHAT TO MAKE
What to make is influenced by what you like. Do you like rich dark beers, fruit forward ciders or dark rustic flavors of a red wine? If you are new to the hobby it can often seem like an overwhelming process that will make your head spin.
If you are interested in beer, we offer over 70 different and customizable beer recipes.
Making beer is as easy or as complex as you want it to be. Below are the simple steps needed to make great beers!

Step 1. Mashing
Mashing is like making the perfect bowl of oatmeal. Add water and crushed malt into hot water at the right temperature and wait. The end result is a delightful sugar water we call wort, which we will turn into beer.
Want to skip mashing? Try using malt extract, this allows you to jump right into the boil.

Step 2. Boiling
Beer is about balance. Boiling your wort with hops infuses it with bitterness, flavors and aromas that compliment malt sweetness.

Step 3. Fermenting
It is said that brewers make the wort and yeast make the beer. After cooling the wort you add yeast and in 2 weeks you have beer! It is hard to believe it is not magic!

Step 4. Package & Enjoy
This is the moment you have waited for! Package your new beer in bottles or kegs. Congratulations, you are now a home brewer! Enjoy your accomplishment!
MAKING WINE
If you prefer to enjoy wines or ciders, you have options there too. Wine kits from RJS can help you make 30 bottles fantastic wine in as little as 4 weeks.
Mangrove Jack cider kits offer all the ingredients to make 6 gallons of cider in a variety of flavors.
Brewing can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.
Maybe you want to try your hand at honey wine or an unconventional fruit wine from the backyard. Our brewing guides are here to help you through the process.
These guides are for 1 gallon batches but they can be scaled up to as much as you want.
